
OUR STORY
We Make Anything Out of Anything!
UTAR Makers Club was officially formed in November 2017. Since 2016, the founders of this club have actively organized or participated in several Engineering and Science events, including KLESF, KL Mini Maker Faire, Kaki Repair, Laser Tag, MDEC My Digital Maker Faire. Our team has designed and built countless creative products in the aviation field, for example, drone using recycled materials such as ice cream sticks, water bottle, and some 3D printed parts; RC wing plane with recycled polystyrene cut into thin sheets. As a university student club, our mission is to create a self-development and innovative culture within university students which promotes advancement towards science and technology society.
PAST PROJECTS
Laser tag
An interactive built-it-yourself workshop which combines mechanical, programming, electronics and aesthetic. Held more than 4 times in a year with demand from participant aged from 7 to 20, it a platform for engineering basics and allowed participants to gain new skill sets throughout the process.
Research Divisions
Based on 5 divisions; mechanical, aviation, electronics and programming, biomedical and editorial, weekly activity is organised in UTAR Sg Long to assist students in developing creative and practical problem-solving skills applicable across multiple fields.
Event Gimmicks
We provide gimmicks for events and opening ceremony. Acrobatic helium balloons, drone show, LED tags, mascots, mock up etc is part of the products we do. Besides, we provide technical support during the event.
