RULES & REGULATIONS

Any violation of rules will result a possibility of disqualification. 

1. Each team will be required to design and assemble their own drone showcasing their ideas and creativity. Basic materials and parts (e.g. electronics, motors, and propellers) will be provided.


2. Decorative materials usage is limited to: spray paint, marker pens, acrylic paint only.


3. Teams may fabricate their frames with materials provided for example 3D Printers (with printing material) or sticks/ice-cream sticks (DIY). Teams may choose to use any pre-installed 3D drawing software for drone design on their personal laptop.


4. Each team will be assigned a technical assistant, also known as Team Supervisor by the OrganizingCommittee to provide any necessary assistance and support throughout the competition.


5. Participants are required to attend a pre-event one day drone workshop at KLESF, The Mines Exhibition Centre (2-4 November) in preparation for the competition.


6. Teams shall comprise a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 participants in each team. While also considered as participants, there can be at most 1 supporting lecturer or member of staff to assist the team as an active participant.


7. All drones designed are to adhere to a dimensional requirement of at least 9cm by 9cm and a maximal dimension of 12cm by 12cm. There is no limitations on the height however.


8. All drone flight without approval from Head of Supervisor is strictly prohibited.


9. The Judges and Organizing Committee reserves the rights to amend the rules and regulations as deemed necessary. All decisions made are final and no correspondence shall be entertained.
